Jobsheet Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Jobsheet ("Jobsheet", "we", "us"), operated by Peter Krasznekewicz, an individual. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Jobsheet.

1. What Jobsheet is

Jobsheet uses AI and web research to produce job sheets for working on your own vehicle: parts lists with sourcing options, step-by-step procedures, tool lists, reference videos, and community tips from other owners.

2. Important: read this before working on your car

Jobsheet is an information tool, not a mechanic. Job sheets are generated automatically by AI from public sources. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. This includes part numbers, fitment, torque specifications, fluid capacities, procedures and safety steps.

  • Verify before you rely on anything. Before you buy parts or start work, check the following against the manufacturer's service information, the parts seller, or a qualified professional:
    • Parts: confirm the part number and fitment for your exact vehicle (by VIN where possible) with the seller before you buy.
    • Torque figures, fluid types and capacities, and other specifications.
    • Procedure steps, including their order and any safety precautions.
    • Take extra care with brakes, steering, suspension, wheels, fuel, airbags, high-voltage and electrical systems.
  • Vehicle work is dangerous. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Follow safe practice and the manufacturer's warnings. You are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of your vehicle and anyone else.
  • If you're not confident, stop and use a qualified mechanic.
  • Prices, stock and listings come from third-party sellers and may have changed. We don't sell parts. We are not responsible for purchases you make from third parties, or for whether those parts fit.
  • Jobsheet is not affiliated with or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer, parts seller or video creator it references.

You use job sheets at your own risk.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use Jobsheet.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person per account. Don't share accounts or create accounts to get around plan limits.

4. Plans and billing

  • Free plan: includes up to 3 job sheets and per-sheet usage limits. We may change what the Free plan includes.
  • Pro plan: $9.99 per month plus applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: cancel at any time from the billing page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • Refunds: payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law requires a refund. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. Contact us within that period for a refund.
  • Price changes: we'll give you at least 14 days' notice of a price change. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
  • Fair use: all plans, including Pro, have daily usage limits to prevent abuse and control costs.
  • If a payment fails, Pro features may be suspended until it succeeds.

5. Your content

"Your content" means what you put into Jobsheet: messages, vehicle details, preferences, feedback and community tips.

  • You own your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process and display it in order to run and improve the Service. This includes sending it to our service providers, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Research reuse: research generated for your jobs, and your feedback on it (for example, whether a part fitted), may be reused to improve results for other users. We do this without identifying you.
  • Community tips are published to other users. By posting one, you give us a licence to display, distribute and moderate it for as long as it is on the Service. You can delete your tips at any time.
  • You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to share.

6. Acceptable use

Don't:

  • post tips or content that are false, dangerous, unlawful, abusive, spam or promotional, or that infringe someone else's rights;
  • use Jobsheet to get instructions for defeating emissions controls, safety systems or vehicle anti-theft systems, or for any other unlawful purpose;
  • scrape, resell or bulk-extract the Service or its output, or use automated means to access it except through features we provide;
  • try to get around plan limits, security controls or access to other users' data;
  • interfere with or overload the Service.

We may remove content and moderate tips, both automatically and manually, at our discretion.

7. Output and intellectual property

Jobsheet, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us. You may use job sheets generated for you for your own personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not use them commercially, for example to service other people's vehicles for payment or to resell them. Job sheets link to and summarise third-party material, such as videos, listings and bulletins, which belongs to its owners.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on, and links to, third-party services and websites, including parts sellers and YouTube. Their own terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Jobsheet and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if you create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue a paid service, we'll give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid amount for time you won't be able to use.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that job sheets will be accurate or complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Everything the Service provides is general information only. This includes job sheets, parts lists, part numbers, fitment, prices, torque figures, specifications, procedures, tool lists, videos and community tips. None of it is professional mechanical advice. It may contain errors or omissions, whether generated by AI, taken from third-party sources, or posted by other users. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions in that information, or for any decision you make, part you buy or work you carry out based on it. Community tips are the views of the users who post them, not ours.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data;
  • we are not liable for damage to vehicles or property, or for injury, that results from following or relying on a job sheet, except where the law does not allow this exclusion;
  • our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. It also doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your misuse of the Service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Jobsheet after that, you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections given to you by the law of the country where you live.
